Just a quick note...AND a giveaway!

Ugh. I am almost ready to give up on blogging for the remainder of the year. I seriously feel like such a blog slacker. I am not even getting a chance to read any of my favorite blogs, much less blog myself. In my defense, things are nuts around the Priddy household. The kids are keeping us busy with lots of school activities and sports. I am trying to divide the rest of my time between friends, housework, sewing and keeping my sanity. This time of year really does test my limits. Anyone else? What I am really trying to say is that I am sorry I have been MIA. I am hoping a little giveaway will help you forgive me. Will that work?

Anyone wanna win this camera strap slipcover? Here is what you need to do:
1) Leave me a comment and tell me your favorite holiday tradition;
2) Follow my blog;
3) Follow me on Twitter;
4) Blog about the giveaway;
5) Tweet about the giveaway.
You will receive one entry for each of the above that you do. Just make sure and leave a comment for each one that you do. Please be sure and leave your email address with at least one post so that I can contact you via email if you win.
Keep the strap for yourself or give it away for the holidays! Totally up to you. And since there will only be one lucky winner, I will offer each person who enters the giveaway 15% off one of my camera straps once the giveaway ends. But you have to enter the giveaway to receive the discount. You can check out other straps in my Etsy shop.
A winner will be picked on Wednesday, November 18. Discount orders can be placed after the winner is announced and the discount will be available until November 25.

Priddy Creations Shop News

With my super hectic schedule and the holidays coming up, I have decided to NOT take any custom orders for camera bags for the rest of the year. I will ONLY be listing ready to ship camera bags when time allows. However, I will be offering custom camera straps, lens cozies and other camera accessories. I may throw up a custom listing from time to time but it won't be a staple in my shop like it normally is.

My shop is currently closed as I am heading out on vacation to do some shopping in Canton, Texas. Can't wait! When I get back, I may be having a sale so that you all can do some early Christmas shopping. There may be a giveaway too! So stay tuned!!

Giveaway Time and Guess What? It isn't camera stuff. Something for the LITTLE Boys!

A twitter/book club organizer friend of mine is hosting a giveaway on her blog. What is she giving away? Some of my tinkle tents. What are tinkle tents? Tinkle tents are the cute little fabric tents that keeps you dry when changing sweet little baby boys' diapers. How cute is that? I made these for a friend of mine who just had a baby and she LOVES them. What is even greater is that they are machine washable and are perfect for the diaper bag and at the house.

For all the details on how you can win these cute little tinkle tents, visit Shealynn's blog here.
These little tents will be added to my new Etsy store, Priddy Baby Creations hopefully within the next few weeks.

One of these days I will get on here and share what has been keeping me away from my blog. I have lots of new projects and a Priddy Crew picture share that I will update you with soon.

Now go enter the giveaway!!

New Etsy Shop or Keep It All Together??

That is the question...... So I have been seriously considering offering some of my baby items that I usually only make as gifts. Baby stuff is seriously addictive and I have been wanting to branch out from just camera accessories just to add a little variety. I have been throwing around the idea of opening a new store geared just towards babies and toddlers. What do yall think? Keep it together in my existing shop or open something specifically for my baby/toddler items?

What would be in this store you ask?? Well to start, these super cute and HIGHLY functional tinkle tents to keep you dry while changing those sweet little baby boys.

I would also love to offer:

* Diaper Bags in various sizes;
* Nursing Covers;
* Custom Burp Cloths;
* Diaper Keepers;
* Changing Pads;
* Paci Holders; and
* Bibs

So what do yall think? Separate store or keep everything all in one place? Would really love your opinion!!

Playing Around

I know I have shared that one of my very good friends just had a sweet baby boy. This has really inspired me to try some baby things. I made my very first nursing cover (totally forgot to take a picture before I gave it to her.....will have to do that next time I see her). And then I just made one of these for her sweet boy.....

Anyone know what it is?

And here is the sweet face of my newfound inspiration!! Isn't that face the sweetest? I had the pleasure of snuggling him up for a few hours the other day while mama got some rest and daddy had playtime with big brother. I can't wait to do it again.

And they're off!

Welp, my kids finally started back to school. I ain't gonna lie.......mama is super happy! I know that sounds horrible but we are ALL much happier with school starting up again. The kids were getting sick of each other and bored. So it worked out great all around. The biggest adjustment is getting everyone up and out the door so early and the craziness of dropping off 3 kids at 3 different schools. It wouldn't be so bad if they started and ended at different times. But nope, they all start and end at the same time. Right now it takes me 1 hour and 15 minutes to get them all picked up. Hoping things settle down after a few weeks.

The kids all love their teachers and are happy to be with friends again. Baylee came home with homework the second day of school. They don't joke around in 4th grade. She is loving it though.

Mollee's teacher is great and has a great sense of humor. We had the pleasure of getting to know her and her family last year when Troy coached her daughter in basketball. I really think it will be a fun year for Mollee.

Ethan is in our local T-1 program (transitional first grade). Because is so young, he qualified for this program and we are extremely happy about that. His teacher is fantastic! She seems to have endless amounts of patience and I think he will do well.

And if that wasn't enough.......all three started soccer. This all three of mine's first year playing. Practices 4 out of 5 days of the week. So we have had a very busy first week back to school!!

Here are a few pics from our first day.

Sweet Mollee.

Beautiful Baylee. She has always been my little tomboy but this year she has started to girly up a little more. Except for the shoes. Loves her Converse! :)

The girls showing off their first day of school duds. They picked them out. :)

Ethan and his teacher.

My cheesy, little handsome monkey!

Hope everyone had wonderful first days of schools and all you mamas and dads held up ok.

Last Outing - Gator Country

The kids enjoyed their last "before school starts" activity at Gator Country with their dad. I opted out of this activity because 1) It is too dang hot and 2) it gives me the creeps. I have been once with the kids and I am fine with letting that be a kids and dad trip.

My kids are fearless and sometimes that scares the crud of out me. See that camera in the picture below? Evidently they are filming some show about Gator Country that will air on CMT in March. The kids might be tv stars!! :)

Ethan....my son who is not scared of ANYTHING.

Baylee...my little tomboy and who doesn't mind getting dirty.

Mollee.....my cautious child who everyone once in a while will surprise me.

That gator is "Big Al." Supposedly he is the biggest one there. I will take their word for it.

I did this once....held a baby gator. After 2 seconds I was ready to get rid of it but wimpy Troy (that would be my hubby) wouldn't take it from me and I ended up having to hold it for about 5 minutes because every time I tried to lean down and put him in the pool, he would wiggle and I was scared he would bite me! FINALLY the guide there took him from me. NEVER again!

The kids really enjoyed it though so that is all that matters.

So what does everyone have planned this week? My kids start school tomorrow (doing a jig as I type) and I have lots to do this week.

My "to do" list consists of:

* My first ever baby quilt for this sweet little boy.

One of my closest friends just had her third. This handsome little guy named Cannon.

* Finishing up a messenger bag
* A shirt to go with one of Mollee's skirts
* More baby goodies

I am also "testing" a new eBook that will be out before long. I can't wait to give it a try. More on that later!

Happy Sunday everyone!!

A few sneak peeks...

I promised a couple of days ago I would show you some sneaks of upcoming items. Forgive the pics. These were quick snapshots taken with my iphone. So the vibrancy of these colors aren't really captured. All of these will be camera bags that will go in my shop when I get back from vacation. Are you excited? I know I am!

A little Mezzanine in one of my favorite colorways.

A more classic combination.

A little Jennifer Paganelli.

These are all cut out and ready to sew. I am bummed that I won't get them sewn up until after we get back. Gotta get some customs out first.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
